We are looking for compassionate coaches to nurture young and elementary-aged children in their early development of the game of basketball and other games of sports. Experience working with children and some basic knowledge of the game of basketball is preferred. Coaches must be reliable, punctual, and flexible to meet the needs of the children, other coaches on staff, and the directors of the program. Must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with children, parents, volunteers, and other employees to reflect the values of the church’s and Give&Go Camp’s mission.

This year we have 3 Tiers for our Coaches Make sure to register for the correct qualifications:

Tier I: Under the age of 14 – considered a “Coach-in-Training” – Hours of service are volunteer status – Camp T-shirt provided – Lunch provided daily

Tier II: 14-15 Years Old – “Hired Coach” – Must have served at least one week as a “Coach-in-Training” described in Tier I – Must complete and submit NEW DIRECTION BAPTIST CHURCH hiring packet, including: Signed “Permission For Employment” form and W-9 tax document

Tier III: 16+ Years Old – “Head Coach” – Must complete and submit NEW DIRECTION BAPTIST CHURCH hiring packet, including: Employment Application form and W-9 tax document – Those not previously experienced as described in Tier II will be interviewed by Camp Directors to determine qualifications once the application has been received. – Satisfactory completion of a background check.

For families who choose the manual option, Kathy Driver serves as a notary public in the church office.
